date

Why doesn't this work?

var today : string
date (today)
put "Greetings!! The date today is ", today

the error is "Right boun of substring is greater than length of string"

it works, i just ran it, and it should work, cuz its straight out of the Turing Help File. :P
You could also use Time.Date, to display the time and date, so you dont need to declare anything.

I got the same error as Jas when I tried it. Running on Turing 4.0.1 [k] (under Linux using WINE if that could matter).
But if Time.Date will give you the same result, it'd be easier to stick with that.

well if it does, explain to him that you got it right from turing source and then use Time.Date in place of the var today.
