i need a bit of help

hey i am just wondering how do read a text file. which contians a high score, (and if not to difficutlt a set of highscores.) or is there an easier way then using an outside file, how should i go about this??

Please put an actual description in your post's title next time. 'How do I read from a text file?' would have been a much better title than 'i need a bit of help.'
