Pic.New / Pic.Draw help

Im making a program that'll make a basic map (i know there are more out there but this is just for my own use right now).  And for some reason i cant take over 172 pictures on one variable, and im trying to change variables after 171, but it still wont work... any ideas??  :?

(In case you're wondering, person is refering to the Pic.Free() command.  Very useful.)
