setting cursor

I need some help with setting the location of text.  I know that I can use the c.setcursor command to place the text at the cursor's location, but as soon as I uses the command c.println the cursor resets to the original location.  How would I be able to set a text location that does no change if per say I was to enter an entire paragraph.
