NDP accuses Wal-Mart of "economic terrorism"
-----------------------------------
About time.. but not for the right reasons :?

The retail giant's decision to close the store will put more than 160 people out of work.

How about realizing the fact that Wal-Mart is an economic black hole, sucking profitability out of all of the local retail businesses by offering products with compromised quality in bulk. But what do people care - it's cheap

The only thing they don't seem to be selling yet, are aircraft engines and tactical nukes. I suspect that is only because they don't want to get bombed.

All these big bulk companies are really just taking all the money they can out of hte local economy... and really only the few people at the top get any of it.

Thats true. Although it does provide jobs, I would prefer lots of little smaller companies instead of huge mega-corperations. Blame it on Capatilism...

That, and it's the stupid unions.

I absolutely hate unions. Worker protection by making everyone work as crappily as the worst employee.
