We cant tell you where to download turing or updates... but if you're in a turing course... you can just ask ur teacher for a copy of turing.

there should be 4.0.4 on [url="http://www.holtsoft.com/"]Holtsoft's site somewhere, although if you're looking for 4.0.5 you'd have to look elsewhere

sometimes your teachers don't want to give you turing because you'll get ahead of the class (ms.****) so you have to mooch off the older students

because you'll get ahead of the class
compsci is honestly the only course where that is a problem  as soon as students are given a chance to experiment with the language freely, they almost instantly run into something that the teacher doesn't understand :? though it's really unfortunate that some teachers forbid the use of arrays because they can't get their heads around how such work

Completely agree, last week I had an assignment were I had to make a program, but when I started it, I realize that if I didn't use arrays my program would have like 1000 different variables. So I used arrays, but then my teacher told me that he would not mark it because he didn't teach us arrays, and that I should only use what I have leant in class, and not what I have taught myself.

just hope that you have a good teacher that actually knows the language... the whole point of a course is to teach you stuff. Though... you cant really be taught programming unless you experiment. Experimenting with codes is like practising, you aint gonna do good on a course unless you practise/study
