News Bar

I'm trying to make a news bar for my site. But I want the news post to fade in, wait a bit, then fade out. How do I do that?

from what i know this goes far outside of php. you might wanna find a site that already has what you are looking for and view the source of it to figure out hte code that you need. then try adapting that code to your needs. if you can show us an example of what exactly you want, that would help too.

You can try something with PHP's dynamic Flash generating thing.

Not quite sure I understand it myself..

the first thing that comes to mind would be java, i'm not too sure about that though cuz i dont know much, you should be able to do something along the lines of writing your news to a txt file then get the applet to read it in and display it or something... like i said, i'm not sure cuz i dont know anything about java.
