ya but the funny thing is.. just like their method of handing out random invitations.. similarly you will be given the ability to use the POP3 feature... i.e u would have to wait till you see a [New Feature] red highlighted link... and only then will you be able to use it.

Google's secret is that most people won't use nearly that much space, there are limits on attachments size, and the majority is plain text, which can be significantly compressed.

yes that and keep this in mind... Google has provided POP3 no IMAP4... POP3 forces you to store the messages on disk... some people will be reluctant to store an entire 1gb on disk... this kind also reduce the amount of bandwidth usage for google.

As long as he didn't do something stupid like sign up with his real name and address then he shouldn't have anything to worry about. It's not like MS can go to Google and say: "Hey, uh, can you tell us what IP logged in to this one account?", and they're certainly not going to get any info on who's IP belongs to who from his ISP. Something about privacy laws.

Either way, I could make my e-mail MichaelJackson_201985@aol.com, that doesn't mean that I'm impersonating him. I could use any online account name that I want, what does that matter? How many times have you seen someone on counter-strike's name be, "I'm Rick James, B1tch!". Rick James certainly couldn't sue anyone for using his name, same goes for software companies. Now, if I was selling an Operating System called "Windoze" and my company name was "Macrosoft", and my OS was a 100% rip-off of MS-Windows, then you'd have something to worry about.
