Japan, Korea, and some other places in that area have fiber optics as the main internet, meaning that internet there starts at about 10mbps, and goes up to 100mbps (for costs comparable to the prices that we pay here for our 1.5 - 10mbps connections). EDIT: Ah, here we are: http://users.mnsi.net/~mdss/we_done.jpg Anyways, to sum up: dialup = old/bad DSL/Cable = digital internet = faster = more expensive Sympatico DSL (for my friend, 10 minutes away) = very slow MNSi DSL (for me) = not as fast as most, but I can live with it. Some unkown provider for my friend in Toronto (university) = 11mbps = amazing fiber optics = yum, fast = used in Korea for star craft = too much info for me dasantamassino: nobody has hacked you here. Either we don't know how or we don't have enough time to bother. I'm sorry if I've caused you any trouble.
