Since a lot of new poeple probably don't know that turing is named for this man:

appearenty, he turned into a woman partly, before his death. 

And then there's all that stuff about how he is one of the most important people in the development of early computers.

Am I the only one who finds it really disrespectful that, considering he died by eating a cyanide-laced apple, his [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Alan_Turing_Memorial_Closer.jpg]memorial statue pictures him sitting on a bench EATING AN APPLE?? That just seems like adding insult to injury to me... not a very respectful way to honor his memory if you ask me =/
