They're nice looking, but they've got pretty shabby specs for the price. You can put HTML code (other than global CSS) in that little overrides box that LJ offers. If you just want to change the design I'm guessing you'd only need the LASTN_PAGE section. You can get gank said code from other blogging places that mooch off LJ (i.e. DJ, Blurty, ...and a whole bunch of other ones that I probably use but can't remember), modify it, and shove it in that box.
