I am not shure if this excat progame has been posted but the method of doing it has. But any how thanks for reminding us since the other posts seem to have been buried some where in the turing sections.

Alougth i do rember messing up the exe when trying to chage to much in the file. I whould if there is any legal issues invaled in editing a turing compiled exe to remove all holthsoft stuff....oh well not me who whould be geting sued for once

i think you'll have more legal issues with actually compiling a program in turing rether than removing stuff from the .exe

i herad of resource hacker about .. december.. yea december last year...
and thats why i added it to my turing website long long ago....

icon changer (also found on my turing website) is much more cleaner for changing the icon and works without bugs...

did they update it? (resource hacker)

i found that if i tried to edit the info (like compiled by holtsoft etc) after i saved it... then .exe would crash like a mofo... (that was with the version i used anyways.,,,,)

Icon Easel will come in handy, you can make you're own icons easily with it, or copy a current picture and paste it in and edit your own icon, I've already made my own ^_^ it works quite nicely with resource hacker.

supply a 32x32 16 color .ico or .bmp file to

'Icon Changer' and its SO dam easy.... !!! never fails.. never corupts..

its meant to be really easy and fast... (3 text feilds..) on one page

first: one the original .exe file

second: location of icon picture

third: name and location to save new file as

pres OK,,, thats it,...done

easy to make those ions in paintbrush, just make shure ur drawing area is 32 x 32 then save as 16 color .bmp finito...

The reason why this "iconchanger" doesn't have anyproblems is becuase it simply masks the icon as another, no actual resources are changed. Move it to another computer and you'll still have that creepy sun.
Thats assuming you and I are running the same icon changing software.

I presume everyone's crash error after blasting the icons with reshacker is a..
"Object File Read Failed.
Bad object file header in (your file)"
