Just to run java apps. http://java.com the file is 346KB (installer). Then it'll download about 3-5 MB more to install it. Installs in just under a minute on my computer, cable internet. That's why there are no third-party mozilla/firefox plugins... you don't need one. Well there are, but mainly for Linux. Since some people find it tricky to install it, for some wierd reason.
