I beleive that drugs should be kept illegal with the exception of pot, but prostituion should be made legal. It doesnt effect me if some guy wants to get blown off in BC. It is not like you get barred from having escorts. If you want, you can go and screw a prostitute right now, in any part of North America. So I think we should lift the ban Drugs, no way. This is one thing we should stand against. Prositutes are ok, as long as their clean and don't spread some world wide epidemic that ends up killing 50% of the ppl in the world PS. saw that in a graphic novel lol.. ----------------------------------- jonos Sun Apr 04, 2004 7:31 pm ----------------------------------- drugs: absolutely no way. our healthcare system no matter what anyone says, is messed up and needs serious help, and the help that people will need with even marijuana problems in the future would just bash our healthcare system into the frickin roach covered ground. i think there should be stiffer penalities for drugs, and marijuana and it should be illegal even for medicinal use because there are other ways, or the people should have to smoke it in certain hospitals and not at home to prevent illegal selling of the drug. if you want to get high, read a fricking book, drink a lot of coffee, or get drunk, but doing it with marijuana a lot will just end up screwing you in teh future as well as our healthcare system and people paying taxes. prostitution: if it is state/province controlled. not federally controlled because the liberals would mess it up like they do a lot of things, but im not sure the conservatives would agree to it, so i shouldn't really have an opinion. if the brothels were not privately owned, then yes, becasue the provinces would be able to control it better, and make money, and keep the prostitutes cleaned. but still, if i knew of anyone using a brothel for purposes for just normal sex and not kinky shit and mass orgies with multiple people of the female persuasion, then I would say shame on you bitch, because anyuone can find sex for free somewhere - go watch jerry springer. ----------------------------------- Homer_simpson Sun Apr 04, 2004 7:45 pm ----------------------------------- well there's already 2 destructive drugs that are legal(alchole,ciggaretes) for economic reasons or other... but as a pot user i dun think that it should be legalized cuz i'm happy with the way it is right now... if pot was legalized there would be sooooo many companies taking over the bussiness of production(just like ciggies and alchole), there'd be a sh|tload of chemicals on what they'd sell people.. and i can think of thousands of more reasons why pot should not be legalized... ----------------------------------- Maverick Sun Apr 04, 2004 9:18 pm ----------------------------------- Jonos your prostitution thing is just messed. Once they have that disease, everyone else who uses them will get it too. Anyway heres wat this guy i know who lives in holland says where drugs and prostitution are legal "I'm from Holland and I have to say its a very safe and good country to live in. I think the crime rate in the U.S.A is much higher (partly becasue of all the drug dealers). Prostitution and drugs are legal here becasue this way we can supervise it: have a max amount of coffee shops, make sure the marijuana is of good quality (you never know what kind of stuff they put in the marijuana in the USA), you can make rules on how much marijuana one custumer can buy. The same goes for prostetution, the people who realy want to pay for sex can do it without bothering the rest of the counrty with illegal crap. The government can easily make rules on where the prostitues may work and at what times and make rules to protect the prostitues. When marijuana would be illegal all those drug addicts would have to get their drugs an other way, drug dealers would go underground and do it the dirty way (murdersetc, things that would harm the general dutch). And I personaly dont think marijuana is that bad, its not addictive (atleast not physicaly). Alcohol for example is much much worse and so are normal sigarettes. Because these things are legal we dont have any problems witth morrocan drug dealers. We do have problems with morrocons but that is a whole different story and it has nothing to do with laws or drugs or anything. And Ed i have no idea what you mean with unemploymnet rates... Seeing as how alcohol and cigs are just as bad as pot then i see nothing wrong with it. Some of the other drugs are a little too far like coke and heroin. (including from things you might do while stoned or drunk, not just the drug itself) how many stupid, regretable things have you said when you're drunk compared to when you're stoned? ever vomitted or had a hang over from smoking dope? (it's very difficult to smoke so much that you puke... you'd probably be too baked to want to smoke any more before that point any way .. and I'll tell you, you aren't gonna get a hang over from getting high, probly just get real hungry then tired :P) ever become violent when you were high? probably not, you'd more likely get mad at someone and be like "man I'm too stoned and lazy to get up and hit you" the bottom line is that alcohol makes people lose control of their body and unable to function properly, can put you in a violent mood for no real reason, can make you sick and leave you with nasty hang overs. pot... puts you in a good mood, takes away some functionality, but different functionality than alcohol (makes you lazy/tired). pot is very difficult to od on and doesn't leave you feeling sick the next day. and you most likely aren't going to crash your car when you're high (you're more focused and some people tend to drive slower)... oh yeah, pot also makes you more creative as for prostetution I don't give a fuck, I'm not buying a hooker whether it's legal or not P.S. 600th post :roll: ----------------------------------- Maverick Mon Apr 05, 2004 5:40 pm ----------------------------------- Heh, congrats :D :!: Ya alcohol can make people violent like my one friend on fridau not just start punchin people and shitfor no reason.
