getting past the Windows XP login

-----------------------------------

If someone (my parents) locked me outta my computer for whatever reason (for being on the computer too long), by changing the log in password with the admin account, is there anyway of me getting in without knowing the password? I thought I once heard you could do something at startup.

Well, here's what you get a million bits for:
Reset the administrator's password with access only to a limited account
or
Find out/get past another user's password without changing it, again with only access to a limited account.

Windows xp professional by the way.

log onto the limited account and find ht hidden file where log ins are stored , if ther is a bios password , just change the jumper settings also , what i did to get passes at school , is run my home made keylogger , you can get it to write to a nice location wher no one goes , and BAM you got yourself a password , profressional is the hardest , everythig else the safe mode trick works or jsut click off hte logon

Just install another version of XP or any other O/S you might have on you on the same partition. Make an adminstrator password on that so that they can't change it. Microsoft didn't exatcly make it so you can walk right into a password locked account. You'd have to boot using a special boot disk or something if you want to bypass that.

If everyone were running Linux the world would be much nicer

on limited acounts u cant install that and with no acounts u cant ether.

also using brout force to decode the pass could take a very long time if it is a good pass.

P.S. i all ready sugested that on msn to darkness :P
