Rave post; IPython

-----------------------------------

I've become a fan.

http://ipython.org/ipython-doc/dev/interactive/qtconsole.html

That screen shot is the first one I found, but those same interactive graphics work in web notebooks. Browser python, very neat, collaborative, neater.

But, that's no where near the whole picture. A "better" shell, in my humble. Parallel computing (with only a few little scaries, like the hardships with securing ZeroMQ, a feature of programming systems built by scientists, perhaps too trusting while sharing, not unsurmountable). All round shiny awesome.

Joy.

Cheers

IPython 1.0 reference implementation has been released.

http://ipython.org/

If you have an earlier version, upgrade with
easy_install --upgrade ipython[all]
if not, then simply
easy_install ipython[all]
IPython is some cool Python. Once you've burned a few hours customizing your profiles and preferences (you don't have to, but you'll want to, because you can), you can start getting that time back by being more productive with Python development (and then burn more time as IPython makes exploring the entire Python ecosystem so much more fun and accesible).

Cheers

Here's a pretty neat notebook. Sadly, IPython just recently received a $100,000 donation from Microsoft. The end is probably near for this excellent freebie for those few with low levels of sarcasm detection powers :-)

Some person is like running a blog. The reason for this is that they like writing as hobby. Then, they prefer to share Some data that could aid different people.
