McMaster University OR Western University for Computer Science

Hey there,

So the deadline to choose a university is coming up and I am currently undecided between my top two picks which are 1. McMaster and 2. UWO (Western). I was wondering if anyone on this forum has any knowledge of the programs at both school and could give me some insight on which school I should choose for my undergraduate? I've gone to both school and they give such a vague summary of their program and basically boast how good of a program they have (which is very frustrating to say the least). The most information I could really get out of their preaches were that Western gives you a Bachelors of Science and McMaster gives a Bachelor of Applied Science for the program. In terms of atmosphere, I like how McMaster is a bit smaller (though their residences seem a bit lacking to say the least) yet I also like how Western is closer to home and have nicer residences, though the size of the campus would be something to get used to. Ultimately, I am going to make my final decision based upon the program. So, which school should I go to?

Not sure how accurate this is as this was a while back and I may be butchering what they actually said, but while browsing reddit in either /r/UWO or /r/UWaterloo, I saw someone saying that they were switching from UWO to UW because UWO's CS program was "too slow of a pace" and that all they've done for 2 years is Java.
