The dots are different colors, for all-too-arcane reasons. You guys need to add a few lines of code and get a Legend for it. But it's annoying, and I was simply recommending a fix. Why would we need a legend? How come the unread posts are yellow for me?Your monitor requires calibration. The red is supposed to draw your eyes towards the unread posts. The read posts are black and boring. Also i would have to side with thoes that say changing the color of a link once read should be intuitive as it is used in most websites and part of the css standard. Furthermore, even for users that do not understand why the color changes their is no loss in functionality of the site. You don't have to understand why the dot is red to click on it and view the topic. However i am thankful for the suggestion and it is likely that other parts of the site could be better labeled for the less internet savvy. ----------------------------------- mirhagk Fri Dec 02, 2011 7:55 am RE:Compsci Missing its Legend ----------------------------------- While this topic is up in the air, I'd like to point out that I experience a bug now and then where when I refresh the page, all the topics somehow get read or something, and everything goes unread. I've also seen the "recent topics" window look like: read unread unread unread unread read unread But every time I come here, just open every unread thread in a new tab. Having all the topics become unread would be a bit more annoying as you would have to set them to read, having them go read means that you only have to worry about new topics or ones that you may have missed.
