What is a odd-even sort?

I need to do research on this topic, but I cant find a good site that explains what it is. So, could you please explain to me what an od-even sort is? or at least give me a site where I can find out more info about it.

mhmm....Habermann in 1972 invented the odd-even sort... i cant find any info/ pics on him
