honors Bsc double major in Math and computer science vs BSc with sepcilazation in computer science.

-----------------------------------

hello! this question probably has been asked before, but I think my case might be a little bit different than the others. i am currently choosing between the two programs above. post-secondary courses in math and computer science as options before, and i love both. I am currently choosing between the two programs mentioned above, I am not sure which one is better for me. I cannot have a minor in math with the Bsc with specialization. I am not sure if i will be going to grad school yet, but i would like to keep the option open, if possible.

My question is, once i graduate with a bachelor's degree, will I be more advantaged with one program than the other when I comes to finding a job in the field, getting into grad school? I want to work in CS and I love learning about math and statistics, but I don't know if the double major is too general or not.

Thank you for your time.

I would suggest looking at the two choices in great detail -- http://compsci.ca/blog/choosing-between-computer-science-and-computer-engineering/ If you want to do CS, see how much CS each program lets you take.

Double majors usually reserve a large chunk of space in what otherwise have been elective courses. So they are not necessary "too general", but there are other tradeoffs.
