a question of electronics

i assumed that most people who know a thing or two about computers possibly know a thing or two about electronics so it seemed appropriate to post here.

this is a question of equivalent resistance and kirchoffs  rule. All resistors in the circuit have the same resistance R. what is the equivalent resistance between point A and B. the two images that i've attached are one and the same one is the 2D projection of the other.

Now, it's been too long since ECE101 days...

You could build that circuit in a lab and read the answer with a multimeter... but that doesn't give you much points for the solution steps.

If you run some current into A and out of B, you can apply KCL. Similarly if you throw a battery into the circuit, you can apply KVL.

Once you have a bunch of related formulas, throw them into Prolog and wait for it to crunch through the equations
