Does a bad physics mark affect CS admission at waterloo?

-----------------------------------

My physics mark is not in my top six, but it is low. Will it affect my admission?

doesn't matter for cs, but it would affect a lot if u go to engineering (like comp. Eng or Soft. Eng etc.)

actually none of the sciences (Physics, chem, bio) are required for CS, but most people i've talked to say it's recommended.

Really? Why is it recommended if we're not required to take any sciences for CS?

Whew thats good, cause my physics mark is in the 60s whereas all my other marks are way above that. It just really isn't my forte

Unless you take a minor or some other plan you need a course from pure sciences and one from general sciences... http://ugradcalendar.uwaterloo.ca/page/MATH-Bachelor-of-Computer-Science

well..some courses widen your understanding of things. i should have quoted that cuz i got it from my teacher. so ya..

like if you are making a game for one of your cs project, a grade 12 physics will come in VERY handy because you will have some of the basic knowledge about how real life objects behave with one another. so always a good idea to keep something that broaden your understanding of stuff around you.. that's why they say it's recommended. :vi:
