TV Problems

I have had a SONY WEGA Projection TV (Model Number: K-E42A10) for about 4 years now.
I recently noticed that the TV would automatically restart after only a few minutes of usage.  I have tried many ways to fix this problem with little success.

Would anyone have any idea on what the problem may be and possible solutions?

Does the power light blink when it goes off before eventually turning back on?

It looks like their a bulb in this thing, how my hours have you used it for?

If the bulb is old, it may be overheating, forcing a restart. Try a swap test with a known good bulb if possible.

I contacted Sony support and they recommended getting a new lamp...so I guess we'll find out when it arrives.
