Need some help with courses.

Hi guys. So I'm thinking of going into computer programming, and I'm just wondering what courses are required and recommended. Any help would be appreciated.

Some context may be helpful here.  Are you thinking of Canadian universities, community college classes, self-taught courses, high school courses, or something altogether different?

Right... The University of Waterloo doesn't have "computer programming". If you might be interested in Computer Science (please note and understand the difference), then the requirements for Ontario students are English, Math, and 80+% average.

What's the difference between computer programming and computer science?
Is there any other requirements like computer engineering courses?

think of "computer programmer" as code monkey, "computer scientist" as researcher, and "software engineer" as someone in between.

im just kidding. those are all pretty much stereotypes. 

but honestly, "computer scientist" and "software engineer" are pretty similar, computer programmer    not so much
