Can a AIF negatively impact selection into a university?

-----------------------------------

Assuming I reach this hypothetical situation and applying for compsci... (currently still in gr12)

EDIT: Kind of confusing, adjusted.

Basically I apply with 6 u/m req courses (two maths, replaced compsci with chem, business, english, comp eng) with mid 80s average with OUAC (I think?)

However, on the AIF the 3 other courses that have been completed with marks in the 60s are included (Compsci, Physics, Some other course)

My understanding is that a good AIF can give you a boost but it won't take points away from you. It's supposed be a bonus thing on top of your grades. I'm not sure if Waterloo cares about courses outside your top 6 though (i highly doubt they do)
