Open Files Without Opening Turing First Help Please!

-----------------------------------

Ok, im not sure how many people have this, but iknow some people do. At my school, i can open any turing file by double clicking on it, but at home, my computer will only open turing files if i open them up in turing.

ive tried the open with function but it returns an error saying :

'filename' is not a valid Win32 application.

any help with how to get it to open it by just double clicking the file would be appreciated.

thanks

Right click the Turing source file at home, select "Open with". Select "Select Program from a List", then click the browse button and find the local installation of Turing's exe. Check "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file". Hit OK and you should have your problem solved.

I dont want to sound rude, however, if you could read properly, you would know that ive tried that and it returns an error massage.

thanks for understanding, but it would be appreciated if you could read the whole question next time.

Does it say "filename" or does it say where the Turing program is? You can also use "Folder Options" from under the "Tools" menu of any Windows Explorer window. Click on "File Types" and choose "New" and follow the prompts.

Just cause you "tried" it, doesn't mean you did it properly. I was trying to help, and I can read. Thanks.
