Computer science is great!

-----------------------------------

Hello good Canadians,

I am from United States. My interests goes into fields of mathematics, physics, computer science, computers & electronics, music and art, so you can pretty much call me a polymath. I really like computer science, and I see that there's a lot of programming going on around here. I am learning other computer science topics too (artificial intelligence, etc.). I hope you guys will talk about other computer science topics, too. Well, let's have some fun!

Welcome jhooper3581!

I think many members here share your sentiment. Feel free to start up a discussion on any computer science topic that interests you, and I'm sure at least a few people will join in. :)

Well, I guess the appropriate thing to say is, "Welcome", but I couldn't help but notice that you called yourself a polymath. I was under the impression that people don't usually call themselves that, but I guess it's OK, even Napoleon crowned himself the king of France.

Well, I ranked top 500000 physicist in the world. I didn't make it to [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Physics_Olympiad]IPhO, but I still pwn.

Oh come on Analysis Mode, there's no need to be that vitriolic.
Anyway, I think the definitive test of whether or not you can pwn is whether or not you can browse the penchant for random facts. Nice to meet you.

That is a hell of a forum...

btw, Hello jhooper3581, nice to meet you. I do math and CS, though I have a growing interest in biology.

Yep. It's not for the faint of heart. (By the way, according to my own definition, I most certainly do not pwn.)

Oddly enough, Shah-Cuber is the only coder I know who's interested in chemistry (I myself don't count). Those who are interested in chem, generally aren't very, though.

In that case, you should find a teacher who's interested and start up a club.
