One thing you could try, is turn off the computer, unplug the A/C adapter, take out the battery, hold in the powerbutton for about 10 seconds and then pop the battery in and fire up the computer WITHOUT the A/C adapter. OR run the battery flat with the computer on (frozen) and then fully recharge it. (this is called cycling the battery, and at least for scale planes the batteries usually will work/ recover a dead cell after doing this 2-3 times) ----------------------------------- Homer_simpson Tue Jul 28, 2009 2:18 am Re: need help with my laptop battery ----------------------------------- thx ill try that and let u know the outcome. also i was reading this article saying that if i opened the casing and replaced the actual cells it might take care of the problem, but my problem isn't the battery life, it lasts a decent ammount but that the laptop freezes as soon as i put the battery in, so i was thinking it may actually be the circuit board thats inside. any shared experiences would be appreciated ----------------------------------- ecookman Tue Jul 28, 2009 7:57 am RE:need help with my laptop battery ----------------------------------- After a goodle search, it does sound like a battery problem. a couple sources thought it was: -dead cell -mother board problem -possible setting screw up (make sure the HDD isn't set to turn off on battery) [couldn't find a fix) I honestly have no clue what to do with it, besides checking your settings, and trying to do a primitive cycle on thebattery. If this doesn't work try swaping the battery. They aren't meant to be used like that and do not benefit from it.
