hotmail/ Windows Live Mail problem

1) how do i unblock facebook from my email. (I forgot my password O_O and need the recovery email)

2) Does anyone know how to connect to the sympatico.pop8 account through Windows Live mail.
for me it is  pop8.sympatico.ca and it asks for a user name and password. What do i put into those fields? it defaults to the first part of my email (nraku) for the username, and defaults to a password. when i click ok to synch with the hotmail, it gives me a account info error. so i tried many different user names and passwords (a combination of the ones i use) and still it isn't connecting. Does anyone know how to fix this?

1) Just check the spam inbox.
2) The username is probably your full email. e.g. "nraku@sympatico.ca". The password is most likely the password for the main account for your ISP email (whoever signed up for email first).

This is what my setting are for Sympatico POP3. I'm probably on a different server, but it might work. I know they use some sort of weird settings.

Try playing with the settings beside the check box that says "My server requires authentication" under Outgoing Mail Server. I think I remember doing something in there back when I had Sympatico. Also, if you uncheck the SSL check boxes it may work. I remember I had to do something funny like that to make it work.

Did you try pop8.sympatico.ca or pophm.sympatico.ca as the server?

I also used to have to use some rediculous port number. I'll try finding it somewhere.
