Physics Simulation Using Verlet Integration [WIP]

-----------------------------------

I am planning on making a complete constraint based rigid and possibly soft body physics engine based on Verlet Integration.
So far I have a fairly complete 2D vector class and a basic particle class with the main integration formula.
I know Turing is a bad choice for this speed wise, but the only other graphics library I am familiar with is SDL, and I don't want to be struggling with both things at the same time.

I am in grade 11 and didn't know the first thing about vectors or anything like that until I started reading about this a few weeks ago.
Everything is based off of the 3D version of this found [url=http://www.teknikus.dk/tj/gdc2001.htm]here.

It is quite boring looking right now. But if anyone with any knowledge about this kind of stuff takes a look at it, I would like to know if I am doing it right :)

So here it is. The next thing I plan to do is creating a solid object by making simple constraints between the particles.

Update

Now with an object class and simple constraints with a small demo.

[Update]

You can now make your own shapes using the shape class using addVertice and addConstraint.
I have also added a rectangle class for easy creation of rectangles.

thats very cool, it seems realistic as far as i can tell with changing what i could make sense of. Is there any way to change the elasticity of the object?

I look forward to the mouse interaction

very cool! the frame rate lags just a bit on my computer, not much, but just enough for some trailing to be evident. other than that it's excellent, can't wait for mouse interaction!

ps. hope you're enjoying those 650 bits ;)

Right now the constraints act only as infinitely stiff springs.
