What high school courses should you have to get into a computer science and/or software engineering degree?

-----------------------------------

I have choose my grade 10 high school courses....which affect what I can do in grade 12....which affect what I can do in university....

(Sorry that I have already made so many posts about high school related stuff; this should be one of the last)

I want a major in computer science or software engineering.

Biology isn't very important for either of these, right?
But do I need chemistry?

Could someone make of important courses to take for computer science, and another list for software engineering.

Thanks a bunch of bananas! :D

English, Math, some Science; probably in such order.

Check the published requirements by a few of the Universities that you are interested in. Waterloo/Toronto are likely the most selective, so their requirements should cover the rest of your choices as well.

Do you think it's okay if I don't have chemistry, But do have physics?

software engineering at uw needs chemistry, computer science does not. if you are thinking of uw, i suggest you take chem and keep your options open.

For the sciences, I would go: physics, chemistry, biology in order of importance. However, that really depends on your interests and hopes. Take biology over physics if you're hoping to go into Bioinformatics or something along those lines.
