Fuji can be good too, but it's pretty easy to get ones with bad texture. Gala are generally good. Spartans can be ok, but are usually not as firm as I like. I also love the smell of oranges and orange zest adds flavor to food. Apples on the other hand, I find, are too hard for me to enjoy and it seems that Red Delicious or Royal Galas are just too sweet for my liking. One of my first jobs was picking and bagging Apples.
