Time for another annual UW meetup. Tuesday, March 17th. UW is hosting a bunch of official events. I want to supplement that with our own private campus/rez tour + hang out with you guys over some wings. Last few years were super fun, and it was great to meet you guys in person. I've got a 1:00~2:30 lecture that I want to attend, but otherwise anything goes. For anyone interested in checking out UW before accepting their offer of admission; or simply wants to meet up with your fellow forum members -- lets hear what kind of schedule works best. I'm looking to finalize the time/date for this event. Update: The event is scheduled to start Saturday, March 21st at 12:00 noon, in front of Timmy's at SLC. We'll stop by one of the residences as well. Then we'll hang out at a local pub eating wings and talking about anything -- school, CS, compsci, DWITE, co-op work, whatever. From last year's writeup: What I find the best about such tours, is that they are very social events, not scripted ?sell this University to students? guides. Over food, the entire group discusses the tour, the impressions of campus, the quirks specific to this University, but also why we still stick around. It?s a good mix of prospective high school students with University undergrads that generate a compelling discussion. For combo points, everybody was also a compsci.ca member, so it was an excellent chance to meet and get to know the people in the community.
