Commands. Please help.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with, basically a defintion of what each command does.
I need this for my computer class, and any help would be much appreciated.
I've seen these few commands around and was hoping someone would know exactly what each one does.

I don't think anyone could really be much help unless you can identify which language you are using for those commands since without knowing that it is impossible to be certain about what is meant.

For example, let's take something relatively simple in English that has multiple interpretations: XXX

Roman Numeral for 30  (10+10+10)
Common reference to pornographic material.
2002 Movie starring Vin Diesel.
The character Vin Diesel played in the 2002 movie.
An alcohol level during Prohibition.
An abbreviation of a triple large size.
Superbowl 30 reference.

That looks like Turing to me (actually, I am 99.999% sure it is), and going by that, I can say that the first 7 do exactly the same thing, which is declare a variable. The last one reads in information from the parallel port. If you don't know this by this point in the year, then you may be in trouble, I'm afraid.
