It's the best game I have played in a long, long time. There seems to be a lot of issues with the PC version (if you check the fallout3 forums) but mine works fine. The Chinese pistol and .32 revolver are no longer useless crap (rarer than the 10mm and weaker? Come on.) Cross-repairing items is handy if a little cheap. There's also a load of mods to make the game MUCH less forgiving. Only in a few weeks or months after a friends play it, so I started to play fallout 2 again, but I am stuck on the rat god. I keep traveling back to the first town healer and trying to get my 3 kicks in before healing again. I think he heals during my week long trips and also I think I remember if I take too long my village dies, or it that only in fallout. Anyways I gave up a few days ago. However due to the sheer amount of other things there are to do, I haven't played past lvl 5-6 x_x It is far from "just a shooter".
