Thesis and Project Proposal

Hello everyone! I need some help.  I need a thesis proposal and a proposal for my project in Software Engineering and Database System.  I'm a graduating BSCS student. I don't have any idea what to propose. We don't have a topic yet, but there are rumors that it'll be about IS. I intend to use VB.net and mysql. And about the combined project for S.E. and D.B.S., more than 10 tables  is required. Topic is first come first serve basis. So aside from inventory, HRIS, etc. Can you suggest me an uncommon topic. Please!! Thanks!
