LOL, me and tony just where talking about this and thats what we desided. Its just that 3DSMAX and Maya are the most popular ones out there. I've also tried out Bruice (I think...) but it was mostly for landscapes. And milkshaper (app sucked, but it loads half-life models, so some people use that).
