Blurring

-----------------------------------

About a week ago, I think I stumbled upon a blurring syntax in Turing. I tried looking on the internet and in the F10 help but I can't find anything even remotely related to blurring. Does anyone know the syntax to blur an image or an area of the screen?

Thanks,
SIXAXIS

That's what I thought it was, but it's not in the help file and it acts as a variable when I enter it in Turing. What version of Turing do you have? I think mine may be outdated.

I have version 4.0.5.

I have 4.1.1, in 4.0.5 it's been declare as a varible under a reserved keyword, however do not get 4.1.1, the only upgrades I've found are in the Pic module, but now you cannot create EXE's

If you want to blur an area of the screen I think the only way is taking a picture (Pic.New) of that area then Pic.Blur it.

You should find a way to get the newest ver of turing. It's your school's responsibility to have the latest version.
(reference : Turing Help -> Turing Enviorment -> Teacher/Administrator Guide)

Any1? is it enthnically/legally correct to send some1 the latest Turing by Email?

Holtsoft went out of business, and posted the latest version up on their site for free, so it should be legal to e-mail that.
As for older versions? I wouldn't know.

it's not legal, it's still copyrighted, protected material

plus I don't think it's up to your school to have the latest version, why would they pay extra money to have a few new commands?

Is Holtsoft out of business? I haven't seen any proof other than the website being down. I want some proof. Official wise.

Well, we all new it was dieing, I meant for copyright issues. If it is still alive, but in the process of being dismantled, that could matter.

Even though it being out of business doesn't give us the right to distribute it.

I did a quick Google search and found a forum that still has Turing 4.1.1 alpha posted. You can download it, but you need to make an account there. It's free though (kind of like here).
