Most news papers and publications for the general public are noramly written at a grade 7~9 level so peoleop will atucaly read them and understand them. Not even one in the country has grade 12 english sadly. I am sure there are other publications or studys about the emotice effects of holidays if you wonted more details. I'm working on calculus homework that won't be due until Wednesday and won't be assigned until tomorrow. When I'm one day ahead, if I ever want to take a night off homework, I shouldn't have anything to worry about. So we would rather have a long weekend in the middle of Winter than in the middle of summer? I know this doesn't apply to students because summer break but for the majority of people it does. That's not very good but they can go on planes earlier so no rush and later which make it easier and longer. I wouldn't want it first of all the school is too expensive and I have never left the province except to go to Montreal.
