Parallel port drivers

-----------------------------------

Does anyone know where to download a parallelport driver? and does anyone know how to check which pins are get pins? My teacher mentioned that the get pins vary from computer to computer.

uh, i just went to google, first thing i found was [url=http://www.expnet.com/know.nsf/0/422c3e5aebef4ec585256af600658cbf?OpenDocument]this
and also, for which pin is which... i think you gotta test it out on a breadboard, because theres not "colour coding" for the pins, and its best if you get a tape and label each pin, if i remembered correctly there should be some useless pins....
anyways, have fun ;)

for something simple like an LED, i doubt anything bad would happen, but for example, if you uses motor.... or things like that, i remember those things are dangerous to play around with, you dont wanna bust your motherboard, so on the safe side, just use the chip, because you do not **** up your mother board... :)
