You know, sometimes I use my laptop; and it's only 1024x768. 'Course when I use my laptop getting things done takes longer... I have one too, only I put Xubuntu on it. It runs beutifully, but there are a few bugs and annoyances like having to use ndiswrapper for the time being. (There is going to be an open one in December, the last time I checked.) For the price, it's definatly worth it. I can finally take a machine everywhere with me. Literally. Like you have to post it for free to download. However ASUS modifys GPL code for this laptop and does not post it anywhere or respond to peoleop asking for it. It works really frickin' well. I aucatly saw some one using one of thess "laptops" last night in class. They are admazingly small. And now I found, googling "eee gpl": In response to criticism from Linux enthusiasts, Asus has made additional source code archives available for download with code for the asus_acpi module, BusyBox, and several other components. The code released by Asus brings the company into compliance with its obligations under the GPL and should satisfy most of the critics. The only thing I don't like, is why not use open hardware for everything since you're putting linux on it anyways?
