What's orage though? Never heard of a windows program by that name. Come to think of it... that looks like linux ;-) agnivohneb, generally people post screenies of their desktops when they have customized it more then just changing the background :P ----------------------------------- Clayton Wed Mar 21, 2007 5:39 pm Re: Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- Until I get back onto linux, then there's no point in my posting a screenshot, but I must ask wtd, what theme are you using and where did you get it? EDIT: Here's my Desktop with nothing on it, just plain-jane. I'm running Ubuntu with Gnome, nothing fancy, but I like it: http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/5157/screenshotbq7.png My Left Desktop which I do for Leisure stuff (like surf the web and such): http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/8766/screenshot1qh7.png My Right Desktop which is designated for terminal stuff and Coding stuff. http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/8696/screenshot2xk7.png ----------------------------------- md Wed Mar 21, 2007 9:50 pm RE:Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- Here, as requested on IRC my mostly clear desktop. Note that it is never empty; gaim, xchat, gkrellm2 and one of tvtime/mplayer/gmpc are always open the left half. The right is usually a web browser. http://nxor.org/media/ss.png ----------------------------------- Clayton Fri Mar 23, 2007 8:00 pm Re: Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- well, I figured I might as well show my Windows desktop. I'm using the same theme as wtd because I think it looks really nice, and it's nice and easy on the eyes (the background is nice too :D). I'll leave you to laugh at my "Start" button. Edit: Seems imageshack shrunk my picture, but my desktop resolution is 1024 x 780 :D http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5898/haxpw0.png ----------------------------------- Cervantes Sat Mar 24, 2007 1:15 pm RE:Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- Sort of a green/yellowy theme: http://www.cervantes.compsci.ca/images/screenshots/2007%20March.png ----------------------------------- Hikaru79 Sun Mar 25, 2007 6:28 pm Re: Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- Nothing really exciting with my theme (my hardware won't allow many fancy things),. but I do like that yakuake drop-down terminal thing. Also, FreeBSD is fun :) So here it is. Note the #compsci.ca channel at its best there :P ----------------------------------- timmytheturtle Sun Mar 25, 2007 6:54 pm Re: Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- http://timmytheturtle.googlepages.com/march_compsci_thumbnail.png ----------------------------------- Dan Mon Mar 26, 2007 12:34 pm Re: Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- I have to get mine up befor march is over..... ----------------------------------- neufelni Thu Mar 29, 2007 8:17 am Re: Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- Here is my desktop on Windows XP with a Vista theme using Stardock's WindowBlinds. ----------------------------------- wtd Thu Mar 29, 2007 11:08 am RE:Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- Oh my! Firefix looks bad in that shot. :P I highly suggest using small toolbar icons. Oh, and if you're going for a Vista look, why is the WMP taskbar thingy themed to look like iTunes? ----------------------------------- neufelni Thu Mar 29, 2007 2:12 pm Re: RE:Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- Oh my! Firefix looks bad in that shot. :P I highly suggest using small toolbar icons. Yeah, I don't really like what the theme did to my Firefox icons, but it looks a bit better now with small icons. Oh, and if you're going for a Vista look, why is the WMP taskbar thingy themed to look like iTunes? Um, because it IS iTunes. ----------------------------------- wtd Mon Apr 02, 2007 12:27 am Re: Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- Name that emulated OS. ----------------------------------- Mazer Mon Apr 02, 2007 7:18 am RE:Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- BeOS? ----------------------------------- rdrake Mon Apr 02, 2007 8:41 am Re: RE:Desktops - March `07 ----------------------------------- BeOS?Nearly.
