Rotating 3d cube, done in turing with changing vertecies

Hello there, 
For my animation part of the project, I'm aiming for a rotating cube/ box that changes vertecies, so imagine this cube.

the vertecies rotating in circles or in random directions, or something like the windows screen saver box. i just have no clue yet how to do it.
 Can i have some clues or examples. Thanks

there are a few 3d engines around the site. search for them to see what you get. check for Catalyst's and zylum's though, they stick out in my mind.
