I say hold out though, if they are willing to pay $75 they are likely willing to pay more. So how much more attractive do you think magnify.ca is over magnify.org ? Having a short domain means short email addresses which are easier to remember. That can be very handy. Unfortunately while my domain is only 8 characters long (including .org) it's not very phonetic so it's easy to remember, hard to get right. ----------------------------------- Craige Wed Dec 20, 2006 12:31 pm ----------------------------------- Okay, just going by what I have read here, I will make an assesment. You do not have any content on the domain, and it is of not much value to you. Beings such, it will not have much of an affect on the price. However, concidering that Manginfy is an established Canadian baised company, and all other applicable domain names are taken, the value is brought up significantly. ...actually, I have to go. I have to get to Co-Op. However, I will tell you that you could probably get atleast $200 for this domain (in my opinion). I've got tons of stuff hidden on there, and also have over 100mb mysql database. I also use it as my primary email account. Right now I'm kind of worried about countering with 200....I'm not even sure if I want to part with it for that. I'm kind of attached to it, lol I know it will take me more than a few hours of work to switch everything over.....email.....php programs....files.....etc.... It's just a matter of time before some company comes searching for it. I've heard of people who research this and actually make decent money. They locate a small company, buy the domain, then when the company grows, they sell it to them. If I were u octopi, definitely wait. $75 is nothing, especially if u are actually using the domain. Throw out a price that you would take (or higher, then they can beat you down to what you actually want) and see where it goes. Or you could just refuse the offer altogether. If you are willing to sell, don't sell cheap. Selling someone something is not an act of charity, so don't treat it like one. Tell them that after some research, you've found that similar domain names are selling for over $600, and that you feel it would be economically stupid for you to sell for less than that (hint: it would be). And don't think that you're gouging them. If the company is worth its weight, a catchy domain name like that will have paid for itself in a few months at worst. You might even want to go higher.
