String Manipulation

Hi guys... Im new to this, and quite a noob to turing as well :) 

I've been experimenting with string manipulation trying to make a number of outputs that will display an inputed name in a neat way.

For example, I am currently working on a program that will display the following (inputed name is janice)

                                                  Janice
                                               a           c
                                             n                i
                                           i                     n
                                        c                          a
                                      e                              J
                                        c                          a
                                           i                     n
                                             n                i
                                                a          c
                                                  Janice

I'm having trouble working out the processing and loops as well as making the whole design centered regardless of the name input.

Your help would be greatly appreciated,

Hold up... Sorry the design didn't come up as I had planed.. attached is the actual design that I am trying to make...
