Someone on IRC comes up with a theme, then we pick out new avatars in that theme. The trick though is that each member also tries to keep their original avatar's theme in play, combining the two. Such as mine will always be some variation of an oni, while Dan's will be of his Hacker avatar, but we will try to match them to the monthly theme as well.
