Tired of Winders?

Try a Linux Distro! Simply download it from somewhere off the internet and burn the iso to a cd. From there, insert the disk into the cd drive, reboot (making sure your boot sequence goes through the CD drive before the hardrive) and voila! You are now running a Linux Distro only from the CD!

Right now I am running [url=http://www.ubuntu.com/products/GetUbuntu/download?action=show&redirect=download]Ubuntu but there are more out there, so if you don't feel like running Ubuntu, feel free to look for others.

As I type this, I am actively running Ubuntu from a CD :D

You've got to specify to look for the live CD keyword.

By the way, live Linux CDs are amazing for getting hopeless computers to work again. There's just something nifty about running a new OS from the memory.

Oh, and it leaves no trace when the CD comes out. Yey for privacy!

Indeed, I have an old laptop with no hardrive, popped the live CD in, and it ran fine (although it still complained about no hardrive...)
