I think the talks are rumored to be in the neighbourhood of 1.6... This doesn't make sense to me though. YouTube has a questionable business model, and as has been pointed out - copyright lawsuites all over the place. Google doesn't even gain any technology out of it - they already have Google Video. At [url=http://mashable.com/2006/07/17/youtube-hits-1-million-videos-per-day/]20 million users, the buyout price is $75 / user. I realize that Google will splatter their own ads all over the place, but that still seems kind of out there. Though perhaps I'm not yet seeing something that involves AdSense and Videos (though they already have video ads in very limited quantaties).
