So you want to protect your own animation from being copied, while copying someone else's?

I'm almost certain that you can't get the "source code" of a .swf file. It would be like trying to decompile a .exe and expect to get the original code in C.

To download the swf file, you could just look at the source code of the page to find out what swf it's linking to...
http://www.anim-fx.com/samples/spooky.swf (but it uses a separate background picture named photo.jpg)

Same thing? The "source code" to a "compiled" flash animation would be the .fla file. It would also most likely include any actionscript you have in there (can't say for sure since I rarely use flash).

"]It would also most likely include any actionscript you have in there (can't say for sure since I rarely use flash). You're correct Gandalf: everything relating to how the swf file eventually looks is contained in the fla file. Think of it as the project file, like you have project files when working with photoshop, or even the project files created when working in visual basic and other languages.

BenLi, the only reason I used the words "source code" is because that's what Gandalf used it in quotes in his first post.

Like r.3volved said. The SWF Decompiler will do it. And yes, I believe the code comes with it (sorry, only tried it on one of my swf's where I deleted the fla.) But since it's decompiling it, it should, potentially decompile everything.

Shouldn't it :? :? ? lol
