NewsForge (also owned by OSTG) has word of Google's newest product: an open-source project repository. Joe 'Zonker' Brockmeier sat down for a talk with Greg Stein and Chris DiBona, who say that the product is very similar to sites like SourceForge but is not intended to compete with them.

That's exactly what I was going to say after reading the topic.  So yeah. :)

Oh, and I just noticed that google has finally set up a registration system, though invites are still there.  How late am I in realizing this?

Google competes with everyone. Nothing is safe from them...

At least they are using subversion though, no more of this craptacular CVS stuff! :D
